Regents Park of Boca Raton offers extensive rehabilitation services, designed to aggressively assist individuals to return to their prior level of functioning after suffering such traumas as stroke or bone fractures.
The goal of our rehabilitation programis to help each resident “relearn” the skills needed to resume their normal routine – hobbies, volunteering, or cooking a meal.
Physician-directed rehabilitation services are provided by a full complement of licensed therapists, All specially trained to assist our residents in achieving their highest attainable goals. We can also arrange podiatry, dental, optometry and psychological services. For the convenience of our residents, some diagnostic procedures are available here at our facility.
Speech Therapy
With an emphasis on geriatric treatment,speech therapy remedies language and speech deficits caused by stroke, trauma or other chronic conditions. Therapy covers the full range of needs from comprehension, word recall, expression, reading and writing, to reasoning, orientation and memory strengthening. Nursing and dietary staff team with therapists to assist residents with re-learning swallowing and feeding skills.
Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory care such as high-flow oxygen therapy, pulmonary hygiene, chest physical therapy, breathing retention, and aerosol therapy are offered under the supervision of respiratory therapists. Other specialized services include intravenous therapy, alternative feeding (such as gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubing), wound care.
Occupational Therapy
Promoting independence in daily living,occupational therapy reteaches residents the skills they’ll need each day at home. Home managementand self-care programs take into account each resident’s specialized health care issues.
Valuable day-to-day skills such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and transfer techniques are re-taught with the aid of an experienced occupational therapist.

Regaining gross motor skills is key to functioning at the highest possible level. Our traditional physical therapy programs encompass therapeutic exercises, balance, gait, and endurance training, and use of assistive devices such as walkers and canes. Specialized treatment programs include hip/knee orthopedic, cardiac rehabilitation, stroke and pain management.
